Weird noise question.

Couple days ago I noticed a weird noise when I turn my wheel, sometimes it makes a fast ticking sound, but only happens sometimes. And only when I'm stopped, while in drive I don't hear it. It's lowered on swift springs it's only a 1.3 drop in the front but it's been lowered about 5 months. Can anyone point me in the right direction. ( since my car is lowered it voided my suspension warantee, so dealership is not a option )

Hey Daren, have you checked your power steering fluid level lately? Give that a shot, hopefully that'll solve your problem. If not, post a video of it -- might help to diagnose the problem.

so it only happens when you are not moving while turning the wheel? if so, there are only so many moving parts. like allentown said, check power steering fluid first. if that is full, then most likely its a strut not seated right. you said you had it lowered correct? remember its a 2012 and these cars are pretty solid. more than likely is something that was modded. cant say for sure though. recommend to take it back to the guys that lowered it. im actually a BMW technician but work on everything, so if yo u can give me a better idea of whats going on maybe i can help you better.
