Winter Woes

Alright so I'm storing my G for the winter which is coming up soon. anyways me and my buddy are having a bit of a dispute over winter storage car. so the car will be outside covered and what not. but the dispute is do i have to start the car every couple of weeks during the winter for oil circulation or let it sit and start it up in the spring? if you have the answer explain it please, not just because "that's how I've always done it". basically trying to figure how to spare the engine any rough starts, you know treat it right.

responses much appreciated
