EXhaust question for new IPL
So im at a crossroads with this exhaust sytem I am contemplating putting on my new IPL. Since the car already has true dual exhaust stock which system would be more beneficial for performance ( I know hfc would be best but im pretty sure the stock cats flow fairly well and I will cross that bridge when the time comes) I am considering the ARK and the tunabe. the ark is a full true dual system ( which my car really already is minus the mufflers ) and the tunabe is axle back utilizing the stock true dual set up. but there is a 200.00 dollar price difference between the 2 that can be used else ware on the car. What do you guys think? I am far from new to modding but not so much on the G coupe or IPL, any input / experiences with both would be much appreciated!!!!
I didnt even drive my IPL off the lot with the stock exhaust. I had them transfer my Fast Intentions before I picked it up. Id problly suggest going with a true cat back if your going for performance. You may want to to look into Motordyne and Fast Intentions as well.
If those are your only two options, I'll choose the Ark over Tanabe. The Ark sounds much better, deeper growl, and it's a true dual. Negative things about the Ark is that they hang much lower than other exhausts out there and one side of the exhaust tend to hang lower than the other side. You can search for some pictures around here to see the comparisons.

Those are not my only2 options. Im just wondering I guess what would be the best for performance overall utilizing stock cats for now. I mean the car already has true dual set up as it is and the only things I can see as restrictive are the resonators and the stock muffler. But fast intentions seems to be the way everyone is going around here. Is that considered the best performance out there for exhaust systems for our cars then???
In my opinion, exhausts are just for sounds and looks, doesn't really give you much performance since our cars are well built already. I say go with whatever you think sounds the best or whatever you prefer. I'm currently on HKS, but wouldn't recommend it for the price

Oh I know its not cheap believe me, My poor IPL got hit in this hurricane Issac bull**** and my muffler, tips and center pipes all got hit with debris, that's the reason for my question. the car is 45 days old im not riding around with dented exhaust. Going to be selling my stock setup soon as well
Like was stated, the IPL does not have a cheap exhaust, do not replace it with crap. I personally would wait till one of these other folks replaces their IPL exhaust and buy it. If you use a IPL exhaust with RHFC's you will have found a very good set up. Fast intentions seems to make a good exhaust although I have only heard/seen them not used them.
I got 2012 IPL and I have the ark grip full exhaust, with Berk's HFC's.amazing sound!!!!!!! ovbiously a bit louder but smooth and mean. It has that small hiss of back pressure after you rev it but not to noticable. I love my set up and the ARK exhaust looks amazing also. It does sit lower to ground, from the dual chambers on each side but It is unique. For sure go with the ARK exhaust..As for HFC's i would say fast intentions resonated, berk's or stillen HFC's
