Blue Slate 2008 G37 coupe - Spoiler trade offer
#16
In case no one mentioned it, Just remember if the spoiler you have is from the factory and not added at the dealership, then you would need to swap the rear deck where the non spoiler third brake light is unless your rear deck already has it. It's part of the rear deck not separate.

Any blue slate G37 coupes in the NJ/NY area willing to trade spoilers? Got some guys interested out of state, but still holding out hope that I can find someone local.
Also, how sure are people here that there are holes in the trunk for installation from the OEM aero spoiler? It seems like some people say there are holes, but some say there isnt??

My rear deck has the brake light there. It just doesnt light up, the one on the spoiler does. So I guess it was a dealer-installed spoiler. I guess the only way to check for holes is to take it off.
Any DIY's out there that shows detailed pictures on spoiler install/uninstall?

In any case, yesterday, I confirmed that my trunk does have two extra holes that WILL NOT be covered by the chrome lip. The OEM aero spoiler goes more to the edges of the trunk, and is supported by two more screws (one on each side). I should have taken some pics, but I was baking in the sun yesterday, and just rushed it.
So my other route would have been to just buy a chrome piece off of ebay and install that, but if I do that, I would have to get some body work done to fill in the screw holes, and repaint. I dont want to go that route, because if I sell the car later, people will question why the backside is repainted. Its also a lot more expensive.
So, the original offer is still on the table to just swap out trunks with the respective spoilers, so the blue slate owners, please contact meeeee!!!!
I have to admit though, the aero spoiler is starting to grow on me...

Bump.
Hoping someone out there wants a blue slate spoiler. Still looking for someone that will trade me their trunk with chrome lip, with my trunk with the oem spoiler.
My color is blue slate. I have seen quite a few blue slate coupe owners in the NJ/NYC area since I've bought the car, hoping someone is on these forums and would be interested in a trade?
Hit me on PM, or reply here. Thanks.

If nobody is interested in a local trade, I guess I'd be interested in shipping... Only problem is going to be those few days we dont have trunks...

I am in Maryland and have a blue slate g37s coupe with the chrome lip spoiler. I maybe interested in trading trunks with you. Do you have pictures?
In your ad, you never mentioned if the car had a rear view camera. Mine does, so I would need a trunk/spoiler that has this feature also.
Thanks!

Of course there are 100% holes; you can't have half a hole...
OP, I am on my 3rd G Coupe and I wouldn't own one without the spoiner, butn to each his (or her) own, I guess.
Good luck with this!
