Missing piece on grill.

So I have searched the forum and also online but I have come up with nothing. What is this missing piece for and where can I get the insert.

Interesting, mine doesn't have that larger gap. All I have is the smaller one for where the recovery hook would go. Although my car is a 2008 so they may have changed things after I suppose. What year is your car?

Nothing is missing. Its the "adaptive" cruise control, needs an opening for the laser range finder to work.

^^ I second that. Nothing goes there, my car has the same opening for the ICC ( Intelligent Cruise Control, as Infiniti calls it). You're all good!

Kind of ruins the look of the grill, but the explanation makes it a little better. YOu think they could have found a better place to put the sensor.

^^^ lol, IMO I think it looks fresh. It does look like you have a stealthy weapon system installed.

It's the only negative about having the technology package, but yes, that's how it's supposed to look. How do you like the swinging headlights? I live in the mountains and am jealous, it would be nice for the headlights to lead into the turn.

I don't see it as a negative though. Others will know you have the cool cruise control and headlights.

AFS is awesome, especially when it's pitch dark out there, it covers a lot of ground on your peripherals. I wish Infiniti had included Auto-leveling to the system...

To the OP, if you don't like that opening, you can buy the grill that doesn't have the opening. There was a member here that upgraded to the IPL bumper (no opening for the ICC) and found no issues with it.

One of those features to make us lazier! I don't even use the regular cruise control
