Keep trying your luck with factory warranty

Hey just wanted to post this on here, I think it'll help someone. I have an 08 G37s and my warranty just expired. On the last day of the warranty I decided to take the car in to a new dealership I had never gone to to see if they would cover some cosmetic things I caused. I had the typical problem with the peeling steering wheel and I made a cut in the leather of the center console compartment. I had been told by two dealerships that these things would definitely not be covered but the last one I went to replaced the whole steering wheel and the whole center console without a question, I got a nice G25x as a loaner as well. So hopefully you guys don't give up and try multiple dealerships before your warranty runs out cause its all completely up to the service workers if they want to cover it. And as a last resort don't forget to talk to the manager and get on his good side, they told me he makes the final decisions on tough calls.

I see you're from the Chicago area? What dealership did you go to? The two closest to me refuse to do the trans update if they can't diagnose my occasional rough 1 -> 2 shift and it's pissing me off.

Fields Infiniti Glencoe on Frontage road. They gave me absolutely no problems and just went straight ahead and ordered the parts, awesome guys there.

I have the same peeling issue on my steering wheel. I'm definitely going to look into getting it replaced since my warranty expires soon as well. Thanks for the info Solid648.
