Wind Deflector
Wind Deflector
I also posted this on 6mt, but figured I might get a quicker response here.
I have an '08 g37 and am looking for advice on a wind deflector for the sunroof. I've used the ones that attach with the 3m tape before and wasn't very happy with the profile of them- they seem to be a bit too "tall"- not sleek enough and certainly not oem looking. Anybody have any ideas where to look for something that won't stand out like a sore thumb but will keep the wind noise down- I'm finding it's pretty loud and windy with the roof open. Thanks!

I had one from Nissan on my maxima. Used 2 brackets that hooked under the roof. Worked pretty well.
I asked the parts department at Infiniti for the same thing, and they didn't have one on file. I'm not sure if that means they just don't make one, or the parts guy wasn't smart enoug or too lazy to find it.
I agree, it is a little loud, but it's nothing compared to what my 08 maxi was.

Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Benevento wind deflector- it mounts with screws/brackets, so we'll see what it looks like installed. I'll update and post pics after I get it for any that are interested.

Where you grab it from?
can't do wind deflectors any more......I had one on my acura, and it totally marred the paint underneath the rubber where it sat on my car (it was also the style that had 2 latches that hooked up under the sunroof lip) where sand, dirt, debris, and water get trapped under the seal.
If you plan on keeping it on, then go for it, but if not, I would not recommend it for your paints protection. Just my .2

Update:
Got the deflector 2 days ago. Easy install with 2 hooks that hold to the underside of the roof lip. Thick rubber on the bottom of the deflector does a nice job of securing it without marring the paint. The look is ok- better than I've had in the past with a smoke tint to it.
The difference is AMAZING- almost no noise with the roof open- I can even talk on the phone via bluetooth with no problem while at speed. I'm definitely a happy camper now!
