Finally got around to detailing my new IPL with....

...the world famous ZAINO!!! After 5 months of using Eagle One's "Wax As You Dry", I finally found the time to get some of this awesome product on my baby!
I started with a Dawn dish detergent bath, then applied 3 coats of Z2 with ZFX additive. I also applied a coat of Z6 in between each layer of the Z2. Then to top off the 3 layers I applied a layer of Z8. It sucks that it was so overcast today because you can't really see how good the car looks...and feels.
Anyway, on to the pics.

That is what Sal from Zaino says to do...Dawn takes all the old wax off the car. Why would I get flamed for that?

Dawn isn't the best thing to use because it's not good for the rubber bits on the car. It's not like using it once or using it once in a while will really do anything, but for some of us using anything with potential side effects makes them a non-starter.

I personally prefer doing a regular wash with Meg's gold glass, then a quick wash with a gallon of water and a capful of chemical guys citrus wash. That stuff diluted right will take the wax off but not affect your rubber like Dawn will.

By the way, absolutely love that color on the G.

Though not my personal choice, Dawn will take the existing coat of wax down. That's why you shouldn't use it to wash your car between waxes.

Zaino is overrated, but nice car nonetheless.

I love Meguiars NXT as a final coat myself.

Pinnacle fine swirl remover #2 with orange pad. (If needed)
Pinnacle XMT 360 with black pad
Followed by a hand application of Meguiars NXT wax (or Pinnacle XMT 180).

Absolutely amazing.

Its a silver IPL. Forget the "official" color name.

I love how the IPL looks but IMO I still wouldn't buy an IPL for the price. I clay bar my car every 3 months.
