I just bought my first G-37. I have no idea where to start I need guidance. Its a 2010 model, everything is stock. I want to maximize it's speed, and looks. its white. I was just looking for some of you experienced guys to help a dude out on where to start first..and the cost of such things.
Congrats. Cant really do much for speed besides exhaust and intake and that still doesn't make a huge difference, unless you are willing and able to go F.I. Most people here would say that is best to start with lowering your car, defiantly changes the whole look of the car.

welcome brotha!!! i say, start with a drop... most noticeable, looks 10000x better and rides better... you can do springs or coilover set ups for this... i personally wouldnt bother with springs and do coils... many on here do springs, regret it, and then go coils... DO NOT cheap out on suspension... your life depends on it... dont do it right the first time... thats just my opinion... do some research on here and youll find lots of info on this mod...
Swapping out springs wont kill you. Some people can't afford to do coilovers and some people simply don't want to. Don't worry if you don't want to go with coilovers.
Most important thing any newbie can do is research. Use the advance search tool here. Most everything has been covered at least once. Don't post "which exhaust, which springs, which coilovers, which wheels, which tires etc etc etc." it's been done before. Do your research, find something you like and post your results...with pics
rinse and repeat. GL

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the car. You'll want to determine your budget. Modding is a nearly endless money pit. If you have the money to do it right in a big way and want to spend it on your car, kudos. If you've only got a few thousand total to spend on everything you'll need to do a lot of research as was mentioned. Determine whether looks or performance is more important to you and budget accordingly. Be prepared to spend a little more than you planned to. Performance wise there's not a whole lot more to be had on this platform without major spending.
Congrats! I was in your shoes not too long ago and have already sunk a good chunk of change into my G. As others have said though, go for looks first and worry about speed later on if it's still on your mind.
Congrats on the car! I too have a white (Ivory Pearl) coupe. I was in your position a little while ago. I did a whole bunch of research around the forums, just combing through threads, going through the vendors threads, and stuff like that. The VERY first thing that I did was one of my favorites: new push button! It's a simple mod that adds a cool touch the car. The next thing I did, which i just got finished today actually, was a new intake system. I got R2C Maxxflow, and it sounds pretty sick; however, it's raining so I won't be able to fully test it out for a couple days. I would suggest to get a new exhaust system or something for the outside of the car. Exhausts are pretty expensive, so I would suggest saving up around $1,000 - $2,000 to REALLY change the feel of your car (you can also find some really good deals in the Classifieds section). I'm currently focused on changing the outside of the car. I'm happy with my stock height, although many will say drop it. It's all up to you and what you want to do. Tint and black vinyl roof is a great way to start (what I'm working on right now
)

Do some research and look at the classifieds on a daily basis people are always selling some good stuff there. This is what I've done so far and what I spent. Stillen Gen 3 CAI $500, MXP Exhaust $1200, Painted front grill black $100, 40% Tint on back three windows $75, Painted chrome spoiler black $70, and of course a free debadge.
