Streets of Willow Springs, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, Willow Springs International Raceway, Buttonwillow, Auto Club Speedway, Laguna Seca. I should be adding Thunderhill and Infineon this year.
get the S. When buying a car is this price range (S or non-S) I would assume the price difference isn't that much of a factor (i could be wrong). Why not get the S package. The cost of upgrading the individual options would be costly

It's not. The mileage however is as well the fact that the standard is CPO with around 20,000 miles and the S is being sold from a ford dealership and has around 42,000 miles. I'll, of course, take the care to an inifniti dealership and have them give it the white glove before I buy. The difference between the cars is 24k to 26k. Enough to make the S goodies tempting but also enough to want to save it if the S gear isn't up to snuff.
Since this Thread I'm going to grab the S. I'll post pics once Everythings taken care of. Thanks for your input guys.
I'll never get past how come Nissan cheaper out with a VLSD. Lesser cars *coughgenesiscough* come with a Torsen FFS! The LSD reacts when it's too late so it will pretty much behave like an open diff through the corners. There's a video of a girl learning how to drift and do donuts on a IPL and while she's doing donuts you can clearly see that inside wheel spinning. The IPL has the same LSD as the S. it's junk.
But the S package it's worth it just for the brakes and 14:1 steering ratio.
I was at the dealer and mine didnt have the stock built in oil cooler and they said all the high output engines come factory with some kid of filters or something but i never saw it, i guess the previous owner got rid of it. They went on to tell me engine wise the S has a different belt of some kind, idk if its the main one up front or what. They looked it up in the parts computer and non S's have a different part number than the S's do.

The IPL itself is kinda junk deal if you ask me. There isn't enough of a performance boost for it to be the amount more than an S model it is. Especially with aftermarket parts available that stomp all over the IPL setup. I have a hard time understanding the attraction of the IPL other than the minimal savings you get from having a body kit, minor suspension upgrade, some cheesy interior alterations and some other junk I wouldn't spend money on.
I think the S trim is definitely the best bang for your buck if for the brakes and wheels.
The same reason I drive a CR instead of a base s2k. I can easily make a faster car for less money, but a CR is still a CR, same as a IPL is still an IPL.
