before im purchasing a used 2008 g37 coupe i have one final question! reliability on a G37 coupe. does it break down often?? im looking for an reliable car... please help!!
I have about 40k on my 08 coupe and everything still seems to be running fine. There has been issues with the battery for some 08 coupes tho, but i haven't experience it yet. Overall, i say it's pretty reliable compare to other cars that are in the same class.
The car is very reliable, man. It's a Nissan and it's Japanese--that, pretty much, equals reliability all on its own. Reliability with this car is the least of your concerns, because it's solid. It doesn't mean, however, that 100% of the cars are perfect. A few people have issues, just like with any other make/model in the world. Nonetheless, in general, it's a great car in terms of this aspect. You'll run 100k+ with no issues. There's people on this forum that are running just around the high-end range and mileage and the car is still good.
I have an 08 coupe and I've gone through two batteries. My third one is starting to sound a bit weak as well (even though I had the VCV TSB applied on the third service), but it's holding up so far.
Other than that, no major issues.

No problems with my 08 other than the steering wheel bezel peeling, exhaust rattle, and dashboard part of the instrument cluster lifting. All were just replaced at no cost under warranty. Mechanically the car is very sound, I have 29500 miles.
2008 G37S here. Very dependable and reliable after 75K miles.
"Problems" include the rattling exhaust, peeling finish on steering wheel bezel, scratched door handles, and low-speed RPM surge (all probably already fixed by dealer with TSBs on the one you're looking at). Our original battery replaced at 74K miles, but we weren't suffering any problems with a weak battery.
Those are all mere annoyances, not anything that ever left us stranded or without the car for anything longer than a service visit.
Buy the car if it looks promising. You should turn out to be happy owner.
Downside is that you probably won't be able to use it as an excuse to play hooky from work on those nice spring driving days, because no one will believe you when you claim "my car broke down."
