I agree with everyone here saying to walk away. It's understandable that it's not the funnest thing to do so, but it's the best. You will certainly develop another issue with time if this happened before you even bought the car. It's a sign, as they say, so I'd walk away. Don't take there BS for it. Besides, there's probably a better G sitting in some dealership right now and is waiting for you to take it. If you have the money, you will always find a G, trust me.

Good luck on your decision, but I would highly suggest, as others did, to leave it. They will try to hold you back, but if they make up a BS freezing story, I wouldn't go to them again.

I guarantee you that sometime down the road from now, you'll find an awesome G coupe, buy it and then think, "thank God I listened to all those forum members!"

What are the specifics on this car?

Coupe/sedan? year?

Around here, nearly every infiniti dealer has at least one '08 coupe 6mt. Some have '09's too. Also found one non infiniti dealer selling a '09 6mt sedan. If anything, the sedans have been very difficult to find in the used/6mt combo.

Hit up autotrader.com and let it do the work for you.

What can they do with your car given you're not buying one of theirs. The deal is incomplete, and unless you sign the sales agreement then there's no sale either.

You have nothing holding you to the car. You're free to pass on it. If they try to give you grief, just be a little more forceful about it. You've already had a bad experience with the car and there's nothing they can do to erase what's happened. There's plenty of G's out there that don't have any problems and cost less.

Side note: Did you carfax it?

See if the dealer will provide a Car Fax for this G. One problem does not make a lemon, if Car Fax turns up other problems then decide.

Ok, The plan is when i get off work tonight im going to go get the car, keep it over night and take it to a shop tommorrow morning.Im going to try this "ice made your wheels stick" senerio when i get home, by waiting till its late, putting water on my wheels letting it sit for a while and then drive it. If it gets stuck then ill believe my dealer, if it moves ill be . Im also gonna ask for a carfax when i pick it up tonight. Im not stuck to this car as i kno there is others out there, i just wanna make sure im getting the best possible info before i "possibly" sign.

Any other suggestions to help insure the least amount of problems down the road? I understand things happend, but not after i spend this much for a car, any good advice it great. Thx again.

I can't believe you're still considering that car. Forget about the carfax, forget about proving the dealership wrong, forget about "possibly" (which IMO means 90% possibility you'll buy it) signining the line. Just walk away. 08-09 G coupes are done a dozen now, you will have no problem finding another one. Oh yeah I paid 26k for my G with much less miles a year ago.

But i Went strait up to the salesmen told him i didnt want the car anymore. He looked at me like i had just broken up with him lol. I looked on the board in his office and it looked like he hadnt sold a car in a while lol. But yea i just wanna thank everyone on these forums for helping me avoid a possible mistake. You guys were right too big of a risk. I still want a g37s, so on to the search i go!

Oh oh... There it goes!

Good for you! Is this a coupe or sedan? There's a local company selling a sedan, 2009 6mt, all the options, 22K miles, they're asking 28K. Other than needing tires, and probably a throttle body service, the car seemed perfect. It's liquid platinum in color (the light silver color). Nothing jumped out at me as far as body work being done (unlike the convertible 6mt I looked at later). Drove the car for about 8 miles during my test drive.

My notes are in this thread - https://www.myg37.com/forums/buying-...6mt-sedan.html

If this is something that interests you, PM and i'll provide more info.
