So i say the money is worth it ill take it. So they send me in the back office for financing but say its too late to here from any banks so take the car home and we will finish up tommorow sense the dealership was about to close(8pm). So i say sweet! Go and grab a couple of stuff from my old car put it into the new one. Let it warm up a bit and release the e-brake and start to drive off like i usualy do. BUT for some reason the car wont move so i look a around the inside of the car, no warning lights are on, and e brake is still off. So i try again to put the car in first and try off...nothing, try reverse nothing. it doesnt even move. Then i try to release the clutch at a higher rpm 4k, car dies try same thing again dies. I get out and try and push it with the ebrake off. Doesnt even move an inch. I look around the car. Dont notice anything out of place. I tried calling my friend and he says it could be the clutch, or the transmition all together. Either way im bummed (and yes ive been driving standars for years now) And yes the obvious soulution would be go ask the service department or call my dealer but the dealership was closed and couldnt contact anyone.
what about releasing the clutch while in gear with no gas? did that stall?

i think you should inspect the car 100% before you take it home... maybe make a big deal out of it and let them check the car

Sounds like an issue with the ebrake. Maybe it's not disengaging. If the clutch disengages and transmission goes through all the gears, it doesnt sound like a drive train problem.

im guessing thats rare for something like that to happen. I had to pick what i THINK was the problem it would deff fall under that catagory for me. Atlest that wat seems the best answer.

Never heard of an ebrake problem for the G. There are complaints of the ebrake not holding the car on a hill, but definitely no problem with stuck ebrake.

Agreed, ebrake probably far fetched... Maybe if the car had been sitting outside for years, a stuck ebrake might be a possibility. But not after it's just been driven. Years ago, I was in a hurry and forgot to release the ebrake in my z28. Started moving, but very quickly realized something wasn't right (way too much drag). From the OP's description, sounds like the car won't even budge.

The to the OP, did you already finalize all the paperwork? If not, and before doing so tomorrow, make absolutely sure whatever caused this issue is minor and there are no other issues... Else walk away very quickly.

update. I called the dealership this morning told them what happend. My salesmen goes out to the car and says it fine, says that they had just washed it before i got into the car and the wheels froze up from the water. He says all he did was just "pop" the clutch a bit and it broke free. Bull****? i asked his ppl to still take a look at the car. I mean this is like 26k that im spending here, i wanna make sure that im not buying a lemon or something.
What yall think?

Uhh was it even freezing temperatures last night?

and I've parked a wet car outside in 10 degrees once. The entire car froze, but uh.. my wheels didn't freeze and prevent me from moving... that's total BS.

im thinking the same thing, i have NEVER heard of a car doing that and the temp last night was in the 20s i think. I just got off the phone with the guy and he says that he is sure that is the problem, but that his matinence ppl are going to check it again. I asked him if i could take it to a nissan dealership to get to get checked out and he says that i could but they may just tell me things that didnt need to be fixed to get fixed. I still want to get a second opinion on this car b4 i sign.

I'm looking at a 2011 G37 vert this weekend, 9k miles, and I'm still getting another dealer to check it.

You never know. Especially after that incident you just had
