Wheel Spin in 3rd
I finally broke in the 6mt g37s last night. The roads were dry, but I noticed quite a bit of wheel spin when I was accelerating in 3rd just around the 5k rpm mark. My tires are General Tire G-Max (came with the car). Do these tires just suck or is my car going to explode? I've also gotten wheel spin when launching rather tamely, and when shifting poorly into 2nd (rpms were too high). VSC is on.
On another note... wow... I had not driven this car into high rpms yet... holy ****.

I bought it used. 2008 6mt. Thts why it doesn't have the bridgestones.
The tires are almost new, lots of tread, but they're all season.
I was definitely in 3rd unless you can go 90 in 1st. The wheelspin occurred around 55.

you do have 300+ HP stock. In the right RPM, cold weather and lousy tire combined, spinning in 3rd is definitely possible.
Generals are not bad tires. I'm sure it'd be great on your mom's Lincoln or Lexus. But anything that is meant to last 75k miles has no part on a high performance car with a manual transmission.
