My car is being totaled wtf progrerssive!!?!?

so as some of you know... my car was dented all around during the hail storm in queens 2months back. the car was repainted perfectly for 10grand and then the adjuster had to come back after to check the seats to see if they needed to be repaired from water damage. I KNEW from day one the seats would have mold. now that they need to add the seats to the claim they arent fixing it ( EVEN THOUGH THEY JUST PAYED FOR THE WHOLE CAR TO BE REPAINTED!!) PROGRESSIVE TOOK OVER A WEEK TO REPSOND TO MY ORIGINAL PHONE CALL... THUS LEADING TO MY CAR SITTING OUTSIDE WITH BUSTED WINDOWS AND HUMIDITY LEADING TO THE MOLD!! its their fault and now i suffer? wtf is that ****. i either 1) total the PERFECTLY working freshly painted car with no back seat.... 2) get a used seat and they pay for it but the used seats MM auto body has found so far sucked and they refused to put it on my car ( thank you m&m) or 3) have no back seat at all and throw a roll cage and a massive sub box... or 4) TOTAL the car and buy it back salvaged. i have no idea what to do anymore. my body shop is ordering another used seat and hopefully that one is good.

i feel so screwed out of such a beautiful car i had going... this isnt fair

Progressive is probably the worst insurance agency in the USA. Drop them like the bad habit they are.

A friend of mine had progressive and was hit by a drunk who also had progressive. He had to sue to get them to pay for the damage.

I say don't argue with them and let them total it. Then go get a new one. Or see if they'll give you half the totaled value and let you keep the car. Then you could fix it yourself, assuming it costs less than what you get.

I think your typical buyback is 1/3 to 1/2 of vehicle book value.

It you plan on keeping the G for a very long time then let them total it out and buy it back. I'm sure you can find some used backseat. Hell I'll sell you mine so I can start my red interior conversion lol

I'm sorry man that's rough.....Progressive is AWFUL. I switched, 15 minutes with Geico saved me $80 bucks a month on my insurance. That's $1,000 a year. I guess the commercials are true. In all seriousness, I hope everything works out man, I feel for ya.

All insurance companies are nothing but crooks.
They just want to collect, then when you have a claim, this is what they do.
Take that check, buy the salvage.
Get a custom color or some other improvement.
Or just cop another whip.
Good luck on getting this straightend out asap, MAKE THEM PAY

Take heed.. It will have that the car was salvaged on the carfax report... Be prepared to lose huge value if you decide to trade it in... Dealers won't even take it on a trade with this on the carfax. I know for fact as a friend is going through this right now on his slk. No dealer wants to touch it.

If you don't mind it then make sure salvage cost is low enough to cover damage you have not found.

I'll have to disagree with this statement.

I have had State Farm for most of my adult life and can say they have excellent service when it comes to claims...auto and home...have never had a problem with either...I have even been surprised how well they took care of me a couple of times.

I have Farm Bureau and have had no problems with them at all. Even though drunks with not enough insurance keep running into me Stinking under-insured motorist claims.
Doesn't hurt that my Uncle is my agent, and the district manager down here.
