So I just traded in my 2008 G37S Coupe for a 2011 G37S Coupe and noticed that the exhaust note on the 2011 sounds more subtle than the the 2008 did.

Am i having hearing problems or do they actually sound different?

 

I think its more to do with age of the exhaust....Noticed that my exhaust is/has been getting louder with age....

 

Give your '11 sometime and it'll get there

 

My 2011's exhaust sounds just as loud as my 2008 did

But the engine and exhaust open up a lot more over time, this is true.

 

Has anyone done a resonator delete on the 2011s? I had one on my 2008 but since i am 100% certain the exhaust sounds different from 2008 to 2011 models, i think i will be holding off on that mod until i hear one.

 

Remember... We thought that the 08s sounded subdued at first. But over time the sound opened up

 

give it a few thousand miles. i dont think they used any new exhaust or anything in the 2011 g's so it theoretically should should the same.
