Hey guys,

I went to order the rear parcel shelf from the IPL for my 2011 G37S.

As you know the IPL rear parcel shelf does not have the 3rd brake light as all the 2011 G37 and S do with or with out rear lip spoiler.

I was told my an dealer that checked with Infiniti Tech line that IPL parts will not fit any car but an IPL. The rear parcel shelf for IPL may look the same but it's not the same size.

Am I missing something or does the IPL have a different rear??

And get this the rear parcel shelf for the IPL is $900

Anything with IPL on it is going to run you$$$$ just because it's an IPL part.

I hope when Next Gen IPL comes out they don't mark everything up through the roof.

That's insane. I can think of so many things I can do with $900. Does anyone really notice this kind of thing? Just tint your windows. Much cheaper and your car would look better too.

Why not just order a non brake light rear shelf from a regular G37 coupe, why does it have to be from an IPL?

try orderinfinitiparts.com, you can get it cheaper.

if anything just get it with the light....get a light as well...and dont connect it. im sure that will all come out to be cheaper than $900

You're dealer is beyond retarded.

Any part from an IPL will fit a regular G37 coupe. It sounds like your dealer is trying to charge an "IPL tax".

Just order the parcel shelf for your G37 without the brake light. How do you think people put in a rear parcelshelf with no brake light before the IPL arrived.

Get this, Dealer is saying the 2011 has an different shelf then 08-2010.. I called anther dealer and they found the part for rear shelf with out 3rd brake light for $350. He had to place car into the computer has aero kit installed before it will show the order number.

So looks like they lock the system so if you don't have a aero kit, you can't get order an shelf with out 3rd brake light.

The reason I told the guy to order it from the IPL is because I new for an fact the IPL does not have the 3rd brake light.

But in his system it's charging $900 for same part that if you place your car has aero kit it's like $350 not $900.

But if you order it and it's IPL part the price jumps...

Again anything with IPL on its going to run you $$$$$.. I bet the IPL eng cover is like $1000. lol because it's IPL

No, your calling dealers which parts cost top dollar. The engine cover is not very expensive, lol @ the 1000.00 though. Actually the parts that are expensive which people get confused on is the Anniversary edition or Aerodynamic model of 2010 which is pretty close to the same thing as an IPL. You need to start calling 2nd hand parts dealers such as the one mentioned above..orderinfinitiparts.com. Dealers like just to throw around numbers.

Lmao actually, I was just about to order a bumper for the IPL and its a very high price.....is the IPL rear the same as the Aero rear, I think it might be a little bit different.
