Since when were we talking about drag racing with launches?

drag racing a stock subie from a roll is like racing a honda that's out of vtec.

I've seen very few triple digit trap speeds from a subie/mitsu that's stock.

Quick search.

Both cars were the first hits when I typed STI and G37.

You claimed that the G37 will beat an STI from ANY year at ANY speed other than from a dig. That's simply not true. an STI will give the G a run for its money unless from high speed roll.

two totally different cars. Some days I feel lazy and I drive the autotragic g37 and sink into mindless luxury. Most days I take my glass tranny wrx and be a part of the car. I'm fortunate that I can drive two different cars. Pick whatever will make you happy man. I say keep the G and buy an STi for weekend track duty =D

I personally like Subaru STI is a really good car, it one of my dream car...I calssify it as my dream car because I can only afford one car now, and if you want pure performance, the STI can kick the G *** anytime, but I brought a G becasue I think it is luxury enough to drive it on a night out and still have a tiny bit of fun with it

so its up to you, if the G is not the only car you drive, why not trade it for some fun, I am very sure that you will have more fun in the STI than the G...the G is a boring car if you drive it everyday.

I trust slips, not random times on dragtimes.com.

Have you owned a STi? I have.

Dragtimes.com has been around for a very long time. It's a pretty damn reliable source. I can look up countless > 100mph timeslips from stock STI's if I type the right keywords on google search. I'm sure there might be just as many < 100mph timeslips out there since there's many things that can affect drag strip times. Here's what motortren got out of an '06 STI, OS maybe motortrend is as an unreliable source as dragtimes.com. http://m.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans/112_0512_rally_cars/specs_price.html I'm sure there's a lot of G37's that trap under 100 as well, it only means that both the G37 and STI can trap anywhere from 98-103 depending on a million things. My point still stands, an STI should beat a G37 no problem unless it's from a high speed roll.

Btw I did click on the link but I'm not a member so I can't see the attachments.

What's so unreliable about dragtimes.com? What's so fake about a stock STI running a 13.610 @ 102.060 mph? Why would anyone make that up? Go search other sources, there's a whole bunch of stock STI's running mid to low 13's at well over 100 mph.

Similar price range wise. I would only traded for 335i performance wise or A5 for the looks.
