Infiniti G37s trade for Subaru?
IMO no way! The Subaru does have better all around Performance. But the interior is super ugly and I've heard they have tranny issues. I'd rather get a 370 or an evo before an sti.
@ CVT: the 11's make less power...
@ doggy: the 5MT from the WRX is weak. the 6MT from the STi is plenty strong. Evo's are the other way around.
Ohhhhhh I see, I'd still keep the G, but whatever floats ur boat op
rofl.. i have an 08 sti for sale!
do what YOU want. none of us are going to be driving it except you. all of us here chose to buy g's, and therefore we are each responsible for that decision. if youre looking for a more rally, 0-60 important, stable car, go for it man. you lose some of the nice aspects of the g, but you get some other cool stuff! wrx was something i looked into long and hard before i got my g. i still love the look, sound, and quickness of the thing.
Did you want to trade it for a regular hatch? I hope not!
When I was shopping around it was all subaru, and if I lived in US it would have been, but there is no price difference here in Canada between the two...
If you were considering the STI here is what you should know:
It doesnt feel nearly as heavy as the G, so the 300hp go a long way even with 4 people in the car we were able to drift through corners during the test drive. Its not a smoth ride, there isnt alot of space, there isnt alot of storage space in the cabin from the drivers side. The finishes feel better than previous models but still cheap.
It consumes same amount of gas as the G, and there is definatly alot of jerking when you put it in to gear, as a driver you might get use to it, but your passanger never will.
Plus like it or not its still pretty ugly.
All that being said it is a complete monster in the road, tunes easily with alot of performance parts avaliable. I would definatly keep one for the weekends.

I wouldn't trade the G for a Subaru, especially if it's your daily driver. My problem with the Subaru is that the interior sucks. It's an awful place to spend time in traffic.
I've had a Jaguar X-Type 5MT with a pretty good interior and when I bought the G, I didn't feel dissapointed. It felt like a step up and I was comfortable with that. I test drove a Lexus CT200h for my wife, and the fact that I had to manually adjust the passenger seat was a slap in the face for $36k, among other interior cheapness, but I digress. My point is that if you value the interior of your ride, I wouldn't touch a Subaru with a 10 foot pole.
If you want speed, agility, and a rather raw ride, the Subie is great. If you want even an ounce of comfort, you'll be miserable for a few years with that Subaru. BTW, I absolutey HATE the exhaust note of 4 cylinder boxer Subarus.

An ex gf which happens to be a bitch has an 07 STI and I spent some time driving it. It drives great and pulls very hard but the interior is complete crap, the ride is stiff, the transmission is very noisy (it whines almost like a race car with straight cut gears) and it feels quite cramped. Oh yeah did I mention that the interior sucks? But if you have to get a Subaru for the performance then the '06-07 STI is the best generation. If you don't want to buy used, forget about the STI and buy a '11 WRX.
