plasti dip tips?

I was thinking about using plasti dip on my S wheels this weekend to see what my wheels and car will look like with black wheels.

Does anyone have any good tips for me????? Does it really peal off easily????

Stock wheels painted using Plasti-Dip - G35Driver

from my experience, start with the inside of the spokes. the tops will be covered from you getting the insides. then doing the lip. then a quick spray over everything.

many lighter coats came out with a better finish for me than a few heavy coats

make sure you spray a piece of cardboard or something before you start spraying as between coats, it will dry in the nozel and spray blobs on your wheels. no fun

+1...I'm thinking about doing this when the weather improves. But I'm a total plasti-dip n00b.

grab index cards or a deck of cards and use that to protect your tires. Just wedge them between the lip and the tire.

Plasti-Dip is noob friendly. It's harder to mess it up. Just take your time and it does the rest...

Make sure you spray it on thick.
