I have a few serious questions about the coupe (buying)

So.. I realized that some coupes have the half chrome wing vs the longer colored wing.
Why is that? I also realized the G37S has both options..

Also, What package and options come on it?
I would prefer fully loaded, but I don't know what fully loaded is

If someone could just inform me on some of the options and packages and what not. I'd appreciate is!

How well does your G do in snow? I am looking for the 2008 G37S 6mt.
I hear snow tires = no problem. Really...? I live in Michigan.

Thank you!!

Chrome is stock...non-chrome is just a spoiler that is over it.

As for packages, have you been on the Infiniti website? Build a G there. That will walk you through all the options, all the packages, all the accesories, everything you could imagine...then you get a price at the end of it all.

Can't speak to the snow...I'm a Cali guy...

I'm sorry I didn't clarify, I am looking for a certified G37S. I wasn't sure if there was a different in the 2010/2011 (whatever they're on). So I did't want to look at the website and find out package and options are different. For example, I hear the 2010 have auto rolldown from the keyfob.

You need to do some basic research my friend, I suggest you start at infiniti.com and start exploring options and packages. Then go to a couple local dealers so you can see alot of different colors and options. Check out new and used ones and drive as many as you like. When you find the one you like, start by offering 7k less then they are asking, should be a good deal and get a warranty... GL

About that... Aside from the manufactures, Are extended warranties offered and what do you get?
I have had a BMW and an Audi before... Both had extended warranties and covered everything but oil and tires pretty much.

Yes...go talk to an infiniti sales rep. And don't even worry about that crap till you buy the car. $'s change based on the warranty left and miles on the car.

Ok here's an easy way to figure the packages. If you get the journey with navi the you get pretty good package if your not into sport wheels, brakes, seats. If you want a fully loaded journey then look for one with technology package, which is the highiest package. Etc etc. Research will help you a lot. It took me few weeks to educate myself about the car I was buying then I bought it. Its like going to a hooker house and asking to have a virgin girl... not gonna happen

for the snow you are going to need a g37x not a S, unless you plan on buying a new car you are not going to be able to have a G37xs, other wise you are going to need to sacrifice snow drivability for the s package

G37 coupe has the chrome piece on the trunk and the G37 coupe S. The S has the larger spoiler.

You can get base, Journey, X and S. Look at the website, it will list the options.

2008 G37S 6mt will do horrible in the snow. You will literally go nowhere.
And snow tires will not help, you need AWD to even attempt to take a G37 coupe out in the snow.

the silver spoiler is covered by the bigger colored one on the 'S'... really??

I'm not going to go in to the options and all that, as far as i know there is only 2 trims for the 08, and you can tell right away by the shape of the bumber.

what i can tell you is that unlike the G35, G37 does not handle snow, I dont know if its the tires, or what... but my friend drives his G35 6MT in the winter on stock sport or all season tires, and I tried to drive mine on whatever rubber that came on my 2010 G37s 6MT and it didnt go well at all, couldnt even make it back on to my driveway

Well not 100% true, the chrome spoiler is removed and additional holes are drilled in the truck lid to attach the larger spoiler.

In general if you see a G37S badge but with the chrome lip, then it's basically a journey with S package. The one with the spoiler is 6MT. Although the spoiler can be had with a journey with S package ($550 option). It's very rare to see a 5/7AT with an S spoiler.
