Warm up on cold mornings

Am I the only person that lets the engine run in the morning to warm up before starting to drive?

nope, no matter what, even if im late, i let the g warm up until i see the temp needle go above the lowest tick, then i drove slow for a bit to get some heat in the transmission. Im a bit crazy about my g though. Lots of people just drive away

I always run out and start my car about 5 minutes before I need to leave. By the time I come back out, everything is nice a warm and the engine is in it's normal temp range.

yeah. i do the same. if i'm in a big hurry, i wait for the minimum 30 seconds that the manual calls for. then i easy out. shift at around 3000 rpms...anything under and the cold transmission lurches. have to be easy going into 2nd as it doesn't go in as readily when cold. it's sort of annoying. considering an auto start. not sure how i'd bypass the clutch though....

I let it warm up until the Ark quiets down just a little (about 1 minute).

No matter how late I am, I always turn on the engine first, wait till rpm goes down . usually 45 sec to 1 min (depends on weather) and drive slowly under rpm 3k till temp comes up to normal range.

I also turn my engine off after I leave the gears at P for about 30s to 1min.

I'll wait for the revs to drop after start-up, but then I'm off.

I'll keep revs low until the engine temp goes up to normal. On our cars, that happens within a few minutes.

I wait until the old diesel sound goes away(about 30 seconds) then its slow going until coolant temp rises.

I remember that from my college time - not much difference for internal combustion engine to stay and warm or drive slow rpm and warm. However if temperature is very cold I do warm couple of min staying near to home. Remember transmission oil and other parts need warm up as well.
