I never quite understand why people get so annoyed that the AC light is on. The AC might not be running if it is below freezing... even if the light is on.

On a side note, it is good that the AC runs a lot. Studies have found that there are less AC issues now that Auto systems use the AC a lot. The reason for this is because when your AC is running, so is the lubricant that keeps all the seals lubricated.

Its when people only run their AC a couple times a year they have issues. Just ignore the light........

I don't even want to hear about gas mileage savings with AC off. This car is not great on gas to begin with!!

Exactly. Feeling the a/c hit you instead of heat and then having to re-adjust is kinda not right. I mean its just one of those stupid things that irritates some people like me cause they got nothing else to bitch about while driving cept annoying drivers driving the speed limit.
Oh and onother thing, the read window defroster doesnt work worth a damn either. It takes like 15 minutes to clear the back window of inside fog or outside dew. Hell my daughters 8 year old POS Neon clears the back window in 3 minutes.
Im glad this is my wifes car cause I really dont like much about it plus its just too damn slow.

My defroster clears the window in about a minute. If it's taking that long just to clear fog or dew you should take it to the dealer.

Yup...very stupid way of getting heat with a/c compressor running re-circ inside air and I always use inside recir in all our vehicles when driving them. I dont care what the reasoning is, its a stupid way of doing it.
Im surprised the designers didnt have the heat have to come on when the a/c is on as well on a 100 degree day...

turn off the fan, press the recirculation button, and turn on the fan again, there you go.

Why wouldn't you want the A/C on? I've always keep it on in the winter otherwise the windows on whatever vehicle I'm driving start to fog up in a minute or two.

I don't know where you live, but on a 20 degree day the air around here is dry enough to make you into a mummy. I don't need a dehumidifier on those days.
