10mph? not fast it was a really tight sharp turn with cars all around it once it was sliding it was just unavoidable. i am going to the CVS today to see if they will cover the repair because when that asphalt they have gets wet your car slides even when you are just pulling into a parking space and hitting the brakes to stop.. its VERY slippery

MY MAIN QUESTION IS: does anyone know what the fender attaches to at the point of impact??

I don't know if this will help, seeing as i have a sedan, but the mounts shouldn't be any different.

Refer to step 8 of my how-to, there's a bracket that sits between the bumper and the mounting holes on the fender.
