I'm used to the car beeping at me after I turn the engine off and open the door (as to remind me the door is still open). This beep subsides after I close the door.

Just recently, the car no longer beeps at me after I turn the engine off. I'm guessing I somehow turned this feature off while washing the car yesterday.

Anyone know how to toggle this beep?

 

On my 2010 it only beeps if I open the door before I turn off the engine.
My motorcycle parking spot, in my garage, is fairly close to the driver's door, so I tend to open the driver's door partially, before shutting the engine off, to make sure I am far enough forward , to clear the bike. That's when it beeps.
Every where else, I turn the car off before I open the door and there is no beep.

 

You're right. I also searched the archives and found that was the case. It's just odd as I've had the car 3 years and never noticed that before. Maybe I'm just used to pulling the door open before its completely off.

Is you're intelligent key in the slot? Mine only beeps if the key is still in the slot after I turn the car off and open my door.

Nope. Key is usually in my pocket.
