Anyone know how to get the lights to blink every time we lock and unlock the car? I currently have it so that the horn does not sound when I lock/unlock but I also want the lights to flash when I lock/unlock the doors with my remote too.

 

On my 2010 sedan, I don't tap the remote to lock or unlock. It stays in my pocket. I tap the button on the door handle. The horn doesn't beep when you tap the button on the door handle. It does beep once or twice but not like the louder sound of a car horn. The lights still flash.
Why do you bother to take the remote (smart key) out of your pocket ?

 

See page 3-16 and 3-17 of your manual. Looks like you can't have the lights flash when unlocking without having the horn sound when you lock the door.

Switching procedure :
To switch the hazard indicator and horn (chime)
operation, push the LOCK 1 and UNLOCK
2 buttons on the Intelligent Key
simultaneously for more than 2 seconds.
● When the hazard indicator mode is set, the
hazard indicator flashes 3 times.
● When the hazard indicator and horn mode is
set, the hazard indicator flashes once and
the horn chirps once.
