When it comes time to replace my G (which hopefully wont be for another 10 years), I would consider another G. Definitely would be high on my list. On the other hand, I dont get brand loyal, so I would also consider everything else out there at the time I go to buy, just like I did when I purchased my G.

I have had a few Nissain/Infiniti cars in the past 8 years and I think this will be my last Infiniti. Will try something german (maybe the new 3 series) or pick up a used 650.
Don't know, depending on how reliable germans are, I might come back to infiniti again.

'11 335i, A5, or G37s...

I owned a 2001 m3 for 5 yrs that was totaled in a car accident, and had to get a car fast, so I leased a 2006 G35s 6mt. After 24 months, I leased a 2008 g37s 6mt..but on the g37s 6mt, I had to replace the clutch at 17K miles, which was ridiculous and $2400 down the drain. Im still pissed about that, wear and tear my a-hole.. and the fact that the $2400 + free maintenance w/BMW over 3yrs is prob the same as the difference in price from a g37s to a 335i, hind sight, i should've gone with a 335i. Yes, 335i has it share of problems, but BMW wouldnt have told me wear n tear on a clutch after 17K miles...they would have replaced it under warranty, no questions asked. So come end of January '11, I will make a decision between 2011 335i, A5, or G37s coupe again.

had G35 Sedan, 323i, 328i, 335i coupe, and M3 e46 and G37S Coupe.

So far, loving G37s Coupe the most. BMW and Infiniti have totally different driving experiences. However, I think i'm going with GTR or M3 Convertible for my next ride.
Switzer GTR P800 rocks!!!!

Already did! Right now, in its segment, I think it offers the best value for price. And I mean, just look at it!! It's a gorgeous car, if nothing else.

And if I got another car, it would not replace the G, but would just be a summer car. I'm looking at the GT-R. The new Aurora Flare Blue Pearl is electric!

I'll most likely get a M56S for my next car.
I'm right there with ya Mr English.
This is my second G37s...(I was ThisClose to picking up the Audi S5 with all the fixin's but the stealership experience was rough)
I'll be looking at the M56S in 2013..(If we all make it past 2012 of course)
That dark grey or graphite color is stunning.

I have not had one single major issue with my G37S 6MT in over two years that I've owned it. That said, I still wouldn't buy another Infiniti. I've just been "underwhelmed" by it at every turn. While it's a damn sexy car, and it's not as common as most of it's competitors, I just think Infiniti needs to sink another $5k into the fit & finish and make a more refined overall product. As someone said before, the G doesn't compete with the 335 or the A5 in quality or cost. But why not? With higher quality interior materials and a little bit of a closer eye to details, it certainly could compete, and maybe even excel, for a similar price. Case in point, the clutch in the 6MT could be so much smoother. How much would that cost? Maybe $1k? It should have been addressed before the car was released.

If Infiniti is content undercutting Audi, BMW, and MB on both price and overall refinement, then that's their brand identity and I respect that. But I personally won't buy another one.

Well I bought a new 09 G37S coupe last May. Within two weeks, the paint started to peel in three spots on the front end, sunroof leak/misaligned, lower dashboard covers were loose, the list goes on.
The dealer tried to fix it but I ended up getting my money back (less tax) and I bought another G37S coupe.

I checked this one over extensively but I guess I not thourghly enough. Within 8,000 kms:
- Squeaking windows when wet
- Streaking wipers (windshield defect)
- Dash lid gap
- Creaking windshield cowl
- Clicking window regulator
- Steering wheel peeling, bubbles behind leather
- Alignment out after new steering wheel
- Clicking in new steering wheel
- Small amount of paint peeling on front end in one spot
The dealer replaced many other interior parts after scuffing/scratching/breaking/staining them.

The G37 has been an absolute nightmare for me. But, I do still enjoy driving it and haven't sold it for this very reason.

After about 45 visits/6 months, stopped going to my selling dealer and got a good majority of the problems resolved elsewhere. I've learned to live with a few problems so I can at least enjoy the car somewhat.
Infiniti Canada didn't make things easy either. I worked with them for two months when they denied warranty claims at the selling dealer when they couldn't fix the problems after repeated visits....
It would take a lot for me to buy Infiniti again
