Bang for the $ PERIOD

Looked at the BMW 335
Looked at the Audi A5 3.2
Was even thinking Vette...

None of those offered what the G37S Coupe had to offer,
without going huge $$$. To get the HP and Performance gear
I had to look at Audi S5 and BMW 3M series. The Vette was a
totally different animal, and not even considerable for every day ride.

So it really came down to bang for the buck... And what a bang it is!!!
Actually had 2 guys that work for BMW (And get free cars every 12K) tell me
of all the competitor vehicles... Our G37S is what they like best. Of course
if they had to buy those cars they drive, they'd definitely be driving ours!!!

best bang for the buck in this category. 335i is screaming grandma interior wise although the exterior is quite sexy IMO.

My wife and I bought ours because we wanted a luxury performance coupe that would allow us to hold 2 sets of golf clubs and enough luggage for a weekend trip.

I own a new GT500 so I didn't need crazy power, but the G has plenty.

We test drove everything, but the G was the most refined and the best looking to us in the ~$50k budget.

I weighed a number of other things before getting my G... I wanted something comfortable, luxurious, powerful, and sporty...

IS350 - nice interior, looks good, but there are SO many of them on the road, and driving it just felt sort of numb...

M-B C350 - nice ride, but no where near as fun to drive. Interior seemed cheap for the price.

Audi A4 - nice car, great interior, fun to drive, but way too expensive.

BMW 335i - great drive, but too expensive, and UGH at the interior.

Nothing could compare with the price, looks, and performance of the G... I ended up getting a low-mileage 2008 MT G37S coupe a couple of months ago, and I am thankful every day that I did! The car is a joy to drive and look at.

My wife bought it for herself. I said one weekend go out and get yourself a new car. Pick whatever you want and I guess it caught her eye. I dont drive it cept to occasionally go put gas in it. It dont have near enough power for me as my driver is a 725 rwhp Z06. She doesnt drive it either!

Someone in my neighborhood had a G37 coupe, and I'll never forgot the one day I was out getting the mail and heard it drive by. That was the sweetest exhaust note I've heard on a modern non supercar. I was hooked.

I looked at C class mercedes but they were hideously boring, and woefully underpowered for what I wanted to pay. I also contemplated on the A5, but to get it where I wanted to be performance-wise without spending more $$.

So I took a ride over to the local Infiniti dealership and had a great salesperson work with me. As soon as I sat in the car, and pushed the start button, it was all over. It was now coming home with me.

As dumb as it sounds too, another important thing to me was the uniqueness factor. In the month since I've had it I've only seen one other one driving around. Everywhere I go with it people tend to stare and head's definitely turn back around when I drive by. That feeling is missing in the ubiquitous beemers and benz's

1. Unique, not a million of them (like Mustang, Camaro, BMW3, LexIS), only as common as most 60k cars
2. Great value for the power, 330HP in a lux coupe starting at $36k is nice
3. RWD + limited slip diff
3. Sexy styling, body lines, curves get a lot of looks (G37 coupe inspired Infiniti's penstroke marketing)
4. Strong engine & exhaust tone, intake & exhausts all complement stock tone
5. Non existent rice factor out of the factory (e.g. Mazda RX8, Honda s2000) (not responsible for what some ppl do to their Gs)
6. Robust manual gearbox available, rigid shifting. Master a G's 6MT & U can adapt to most others
7. Sexy OEM 19in Sport wheels, still have not cared to upgrade wheels in 3 yrs.
8. Though the interior is suggestive of a Infinissan, still solid for the price.

The only other vehicle that truly comes close in being this sexy for the price is the Audi A5, but then you are getting much less HP for the money. The G37's power & performance falls between A5 & S5 I would say.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. The Bimmer has a timeless look. I could see myself preferring when Im older, in my 40s and beyond. The G feels more youthful, spirited, modern and tech-oriented inside. As a 26 year old I prefer the G's interior within this class/price. Throw me an m3 and I'd take the Bimmer tho, lols.

It was always between the G and 3 series. Chose the G because I thought it looks better from the side and back (I still think the BMW front end wins hands down). Also, the interior looked much better and the technology couldn't be beat. Saving $10K for a better car just made sense, and the reliability factor also came into play. Plus, having a family member who works for Nissan N.A. and could get me a VPP Plan A discount was also a big influence.
