Why did you buy your G???
I first got turned on to G's listening to Adam Carolla's Carcast podcast. Steve Millen guested and they all loved the G's styling, bullet-proof engine, after market mod fun and Nissan pedigree. I owned an FX35 so was familiar with Infiniti luxury and service.
The main reason was that Lexus no longer offers a manual in any of their good cars. I have owned both an SC300 and IS300. I never would have gone away from Lexus if they had offered a manual. No problem with Infiniti, just had extremely good luck with the Lexus brand.
I looked at a new CTV-S, S4 and an ISF. I couldn't get over paying $65k+ for a GMC. As for the S4/ISF, the S4 isn't reliable enough and the ISF is auto only. I also had a hard time justifying another $15k for a car that I had issues with prior to buying.
I have always loved the G coupe since it came out and actually considered one when I bought the IS300. Sewell in North Houston treated me like $hit and I went across the street and drove out with a Lexus. I did remember to hook and give them the finger for the poor service while I drove off in their competitors cars.

wanted the 335i or m3 but both were more $$$
the g37 is slower than the 335i but also about $10 grand cheaper.
still beats the 328i coupe for the same price, plus more reliable and cheaper to service (i think) than a bmw
HIDs are standard, 18" wheels standard, automatic standard, leather, LED tail lights, touch start, etc, etc, etc pretty great deal for $33,500+++

Performance, looks, reliability and value.
2 years later, I couldn't be more satisfied with my decision. Absolutely LOVE that I hardly ever see G37 coupes on the road where I live - unlike the 335/328, A4 and IS350.
