Why did you buy your G???
Was shopping around the Honda lots for the new accord coupe. There was an Infiniti dealership next door, so for some giggles, decided to venture over and look at what I should not be able to afford. Caught a glimpse of a brand new coupe waiting for delivery to a new owner do decided to take a closer look... Walked away from the dealership after having ordrered my own OB 2008 G37S. Picked her a week later.
I still don't believe I own this car and looking back can not believe I almost bought the accord coupe. I thank the car Gods evertime I see the accord coupe fo having built that Infiniti dealership next to the Honda one.
I wad very partial to Honda until I test drove the G that day and have never looked back.
I love the looks, aggressive yet sophisticated engine, perfect balance of the suspension tuning, absolutely gorgeous interior and the way I feel behind the wheel.
My first car was a civic that I purchased brand new in 2001 after graduating from university and traded her for thi hottie in 2008. After 2yrs and 5 months, I still love my car. In fact, what am I doing, I am going to head downstairs right now and wax her...

Actually, the G was my first car. I was going to get my mom's S500. However, a week before i got my license she got in an accident. She is fine, but the S wasn't. My parents wanted to get me an Accord or a civic or a 3 series (F that i hate BMW). I was like hmmm what about evo. My cousin has a 370z and she was like what about the G? i was like damn i always loved the G, but im not sure. My parents went test drove it and so did i and i fell in love with it. Haven't looked back since. But i still miss that S class. But i love the G
The Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe was on back order so I settled lol j/k.....
I love the G coupes and always will. I've owned an 06,08 and now a 09. It's been a great car with the power/fuel/styling all scoring high numbers for me, but sadly the 3rd will be my last. I'm just waiting on the 2011 Mercedes E-Class coupe to come in a vert ...... but this experience has been nothing but fun for me!.

I've always been a Honda guy - had 5 of them. When the time came for a new car I went back to the Honda dealer. I'm partial to manual transmissions, but I was adamant that I wasn't getting a 4 banger again. (I had gone from 6AT to 4MT the last time). Well the dealer laughs and says "there's no market for that". gfy. For this transaction, I am the market. So anyway, that kind of opened my mind up. I've always loved the G coupes... so I test drove one. In my mind it was game over, this was THE car (of course I couldn't let them know that). 2 weeks later I picked her up. 3 weeks later I got a speeding ticket
Still love it!
I think it's a unique, sporty looking car and is a real bargain for what you get. Japanese car reliability combined with luxury and performance is a powerful combination.

I liked my former G35x sedan but don't need 4 door anymore, nothing much in this class for this money as strong and sporty. Great power and style of x coupe, just don't like stock 18 inch rims and narrow stock tires. Replaced with 19 inch OZ's and 245-40/19 and got much better look, not penny worse than S. I like x since winters and also same x system as on GT-R so nothing to be embarrassed.
For me when i was in the market it was the G37 or e46 M3. G37 won me over with its newer technology sleeker styling & an unforgettable exhaust note. Sometimes i wonder though what could have been with the e46 M3.
O well il have to take a look at the next gen M's if Infiniti doesn't step its game up.

I also had a 540i that I had to constantly bring in for something breaking on it. It was a CPO so I had a 4 year warranty, but it was still a PITA and time consuming to always have to bring it in.
I was also afraid to take it on any road trips, figuring it would break down someplace where they didn't have a BMW dealership. I don't think anyone should own a BMW that lives more then a few miles away from a dealership, since you have to return to them so often.
hmmm, lets see.
I wanted to buy the 370Z that time and the problem is it doesn't have seats in the back. I'm still living with family and they go out with me most of the time.
I didn't want to be selfish and have a seat for 1 person only lol they will start to hate me.
I asked if Nissan have a sport car with rear seats and they introduced the G37 to me. I took a look at it and I felt woooooooow I'm in love.
I went back home and showed it to my family and they like it specially it has 2 seats in the rear. Then before I start going through buying the car. I read about it and found it it's almost the same base of engine and most of the things on the 370Z.
I was so happy about the performance specs in the car and I had to test drive it. I fall in love after the first test drive.
Then I went back to the showroom after the test drive and proceeded with buying the car

Drove just about everything except supercars. One "must"...my 6'8" sons needed to be able to comfortably drive.
Came down to two cars: the G37 and the Audi TT. The G won on (IMHO):
Performance
Style
Features
Comfort
Reliability (my perception)
Price
Very happy with the car with the exception of a couple of reliability issues.
