Need some opinions

So I currently have a 2008 G35 Sedan, my lease is coming to an end shortly and I am thinking about moving over to a 2010 G37s 6MT coupe. I am 6'4" and don't know if I will like having only 2 doors. I am going to head over to the dealer and test drive some coupes, but I would like to get the G37 communitys thoughts ahead of time. So what do you guys think? Should I move over the coupe and get a MT?

I pick my 2010 6MT up in 2 weeks and I think the general concensus is...HELL YES YOU SHOULD GET ONE! Lol, but seriously, I'm 6'2" and used to have an '08 coupe, and never had any issues with head room or leg room at all. The coupe is a sexy car. Even if you opted for the 2010 sedan you'd still be a winner, but there's just plain animal attraction when it comes to the coupe.

Now just a fair warning if you haven't driven the G37 6MT yet...the tranny is NOT the slickest out there. Shifting from 1st to 2nd isn't smooth at all and this tranny takes A LOT of getting used to. It's not horrible, it just has an extremely mechanical feel that some like and others don't. I for one like to feel connected to the car and the road. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever (other than the lack of a factory turbo, dammit Infiniti! )

Thanks for the feedback, mind me asking what kind of deal you got? I am currently shopping around trying to get an idea of what kind of price I can get.

Yea I do like the way they look over the sedan, I guess my biggest issue with the coupe would be how much of a pain is it for someone to get in and out of the back seat and is there enough room for four people if I have my seat almost all the way back?

Sorry for so many questions I just hate to buy something without getting other opinions and being absolutely sure.

The reason I don't like the mechanical feel is because I feel like I'm breaking the car if I shift hard from 1st to 2nd. As for the clutch making it worse, just take 10 mins to adjust the clutch pedal and it will be perfect. I know it should have come from the factory with the adjustment but once you adjust it it is much easier to drive. Coming from a Subaru STI I also wish the car had some sort of forced induction from the factory. Car gets A LOT of respect though, way more than the STI ever did.

The wife and took her little cousins (12 and 13 yrs old) and the one behind me could barely fit though he is 5' 7". However, my 5' 1" sister in-law has no problem sitting behind the passenger seat if the passenger moves up.

Short answer little people, no problem whereas tall people will be a problem. The back seat behind the driver is a grocery shelf.

yeah my car actually only seats 3. No one sits behind me, its not an option. Im 6'0'' and having my knees bent for too long causes them pain, my seat is practically touching the rear one. I guess it all depends if your married, gonna start a family, if your single and just worried bout friends tell them to go buy a car, your not a taxi

And btw I also had a 08 sedan and moved into a 09 coupe and in no way do i miss the sedan at all.

Wow, I also went from an 08 sedan to the 09 coupe and feel the same way. The sedan was a great car but I love the coupe.

There is a special feel about the coupe that I dont get from the sedan. The coupe just excites the senses. You get the aditional visual appeal as you walk up to the coupe. The auditory experience of the semi-exotic exhaust note. The way that the A pillars sweeps a little lower to you and the angular design of the B and C pilars. You feel as if you are driving something a little more special than just a regular car. As you look inside the cockpit at its compact nature, you know that this car is primarily for you. It is driver centric. Thus you become more connected to it in a special way than you do in a sedan.

The sedan is a nice ride but to me the coupe is a little nicer.
