So a baby seat fits in the back of the coupe ok? The G for me is still a couple years out, and might have kids by then.

Yeah, I actually had a rear facing baby seat in there. I am not going to lie, it is harder to deal with than in my sedan but it does work. A forward facing seat will be lots easier once she is a little older. My salesman told me a couple came in last year and tested out 2 seats in the back and was able to make it work, too.

Another item to mention is that while the baby seat works in the sedan better, you have to also move the front seat way up for the rear facing seats so even the sedan is not the best choice for those type of seats. Fortunately, you only use those type of seats for 1 or 2 years.

We also don't use my G much for family errands. if you only use it on occasion and you have another family type vehicle like we do, it makes the coupe worth looking at. I like it so much better.

Sedan to coupe

I just got a 2010 G37xS and was deciding between it and a 335i coupe. IMHO I think the 335i coupe has the best looking bod, coupe or sedan unless you get to the exotics. I realize there is quite a difference in price. But if I didn't need the extra doors I would have gotten the 335i

Like one of the above posters above I went from an M sedan (M35X) to a G coupe. I was not carrying people so I did not care about space. I went to the extreme other side with a 'vert. The lack of storage was expected but still surprising. I was barely able to get four summer tires in it this morning. The back seats are unusable for humans. And the doors seem about triple the weight (probably are) compared to the M.

However, it looks and sounds GREAT! Still getting the hang of working the paddles but I love them, the sport seats and the aero goodies. Not as practical as my AWD sedan, but SO much cooler and more more fun.

Yeah we currently own an Acura RDX so that's probably going to be the main family car. Thanks for the info, good to know it'll fit.

This is very interesting. I really love the way the 335 coupe looks. I just am not sure if I can go German again. I lease my cars so they are covered while I own them, but still. I leased an A4 few years ago. I was in the Audi service center every other month. No lie. The service adviser knew me by name. He told me he drove a Toyota!!

I think BMW is more reliable than Audi but still, not like Japanese cars. I do like the fact that the 335xi has a more useful rear seat and you can actually get upgraded wheels, manual transmission on the AWD model. Those are biggies since I need awd. I'll look at it but still unsure. The price is higher but leasing it minimizes that a little. I might try the 328xi but I am sure I will feel its underpowered given what I am used to. I also couldn't deal with one exhaust tip!!

I also hate the way the 3 series makes you pay for every damn option not to mention the interior is kinda plain. It looks awesome and I am sure it drives great. Oh well. decisions decisions. Still have a few more months to stew over it.

Baby Seat fits fine in the backseat of the coup. Although, if you will be using the backseats of the coupe everyday, I might reconsider. It just depends on the person. I never use the backseats and the trunk is good enough for 90% of the things I need to do.

Don't expect to buy any small appliances and have it fit in the trunk. Microwave had to go in the front seat (unboxed).

Ouch. I guess 95% of the time, my trunk is empty anyways. I'll just drive the RDX those days I need to haul stuff.

I just traded in my 08 sedan (G35S) for a 2010 g37 coupe, sport, etc

Pros:
Better looking
Much better nav/tech stuff

Cons:
LOL backseat/2 door coupe drama
Couldnt fit my golf clubs in without removing the driver
The trunk is measured by (can I fit 2 laptops in there or just one?)

I love it though - I drive 2-3 hours a day and dont care about anyone else but me and the cops.

Mossman...
People often sell their wheels, I think you'll find a nice set of S wheels for sale in the forum or eBay etc. You can sell the set that comes with your coupe if you want to offset the price.
If you are single, and don't drive friends or business associates, go for the coupe. I drove two seaters most of my life, no problem. About the sound level and ride, take a test drive or tag along in a coupe before you buy or swap wheels; see what you think. That's why mattresses are adjustable. :-)

I thought about that. Problem is that I don't want to run staggered on the x model. I know most say it's ok, but there is no point to it for me. So I can order the 19's from here

INFINITI OEM RIMS INFINITI FACTORY WHEELS STOCK RIM CHROME REPLICA WHEEL USED RIMS INFINITI Wheels INFINITI OEM RIMS INFINITI FACTORY WHEELS STOCK RIM CHROME REPLICA WHEEL USED RIMS INFINITI Rims and buy tires.

Probably will be about 2k. I'll use the wheels that come with it for snows. Every time I lease I end up getting new wheels. Gets old. Good point about the ride though. I clearly feel the difference between my 17 snow tires and my 18 coupe wheels on my sedan. I like the 18's better but they are still fairly smooth with a good ride. I wonder how much worse the 19s are. I"ll have to test drive a sport to check it out.
