Would you divorce someone over damage to your coupe??
Would you divorce someone over damage to your coupe??
I am so lividly mad over what my step son did that I am at the point where I am thinking of divorcing my wife. Yesterday, this son of a (you know what) spit all over the entrance to my house. I told his mom, to go have a talk with him and make him clean it up. Well he did, then he proceeded to write graffiti all over my car (G37S 6MT-2 weeks old ), in retribution. I am livid. This kid, has no sense of responsibility, nor respect for personal property. He's a high school dropout who is a no good druggy who cares about nothing but himself.
Am I mad? I told my wife (can you hear me banging my keyboard?) that if he ever sets foot in this house again, I will beat the living daylights out of him.
So she want to leave.
Frankly, given the idiots she has as kids ( they danced all over her Acura 21.8 EL, dents and all), I may go ahead and do it. I'm at the end of my patiernce and tolerance (Her two year older kid, arranged to steal her acura, for a pound of dope, letting his lowlife friends into the house to get the keys).
This time it's my G37. I spent alot of money on it. Money that I worked hard for.
What should I do? Kick the sh*t out of him, go to jail for a while, and then move on? Or divorce the b*tch?
I don't know what to do....
I bet these threads don't come up so often....hopefully the mods will let this stand for a little variety, reflecting the hardships in life....

woa....I'm not even going to touch this one...other than to say I am so sorry dude...
I've got some good friends in a couple different 3-letter agencies that could probably make them"disappear" haha I hope it all works out

Good point. Maybe my wife will see it that way...I doubt it. She was in the hospital for broken ribs and a ruptured spleen, and the kids wouldn't go see her, because that had set something up with their friends...Mothers, just can't be objective.
You know what happened to her kid who arranged to steal the car? He got two weeks community service, of which he worked two days and never went back. Nothing was ever done. You know what happened to the kid who was driving the car who her son arranged to steal? he got 6 months sentence, to be served "concurently" with his conviction for assault. What a crock! |That's justice?

If you're the "step dad" and your wife hasn't empowered you to have authority over this kid in your own house, then this is a tough one. I think you need to have a long talk with your wife and maybe seek some neutral counseling before even addressing this with the kid.
As you know, when you marry someone, you marry their family. Gotta work it out or move on. Screaming at this kid just gives him what he wants, and makes it look like you're the out of control *******. Believe me, I understand how pissed you must be, but you need to take a deep breath and talk to someone with your wife and try to establish ground rules and consequences.
If the activity is going on now (or continually), remove yourself from the environment so you can deal with it while you don't feel under attack. There's gotta be a lot of water under this bridge that was there before you ever became part of the picture.

man that is interesting and different. any pictures of what he did to the car?
as for what you should do. definitely contact the police, dont even hesitate. maybe even contact the police at a time which is convenient for them to bust him for his other "misdeeds" at the same time. what he did was completely uncalled for.

The parents never do anything to discipline them. I guess it's guilt over their breakup.
Well, that serves me right for thinking with my second head...women who go through divorces are completely different when they are one their own. They become the most sensual, erotic and sexual women out there. An then once they hitch you, they end up not giving a hoot, and all of that ends. I should never have given up my freedom and self respect for this kind of cr*p.

You have a point. My wife did go to a councillor after her car was stolen and stopped seeing her when she pointed out that she was completely ineffective at disciplining her kids. This women will do anything to have her kids accept her. She ended up drinking almost every night with her kids two summers ago, getting drunk, until the point that her kid, at 120km/hr missed an exit and totaled his car, ended up in the hospital. And then she stopped drinking.
I have been too understanding in these last years. My life has suffered immeasurably.
Anyways, enough ranting. what can I do to protect the cart, and let me catch the idiot in the process?
Proximity alert? Silent, so that I can go and grab him in the act( not only grab him...)? Motion detecting video web cam? Motion activated shotguns?
I'm trying to be practical here....
Dude, kick her to the curb, she will NEVER be without that baggage. Sorry to here about the situation but a fresh start could be the best thing for you. Be good to yourself and get out of that negative sh*t. Sorry to sound like doctor Phil lol...
