sorry to dig this old thread up but is there some kinda kit or mounting bracket to get the yellow top to fit? its shorter and smaller compared to stock battery
Also I think we need Right Side Positive, to keep current wire config
I just used the original top bracket for my red top. Doesn't fit perfectly but you can get it to work well enough to hold the battery in place.
Use the battery cover and attach it to the bottom on the battery. It comes with the battery and is made specifically for that purpose.

And you paid $230?! Got my yellow top for $176.95 after everything was said and done.

yep what JLai said... I had to remove the surrounding plastic to get the best install access.
Got my Red Top for less than $175 at Summitt.

Dude, it's a battery made by Optima, a very good battery at that. Yellow Top and Red top ate two types. Yellow Top has lots of reserve capacity and can be drawn way down without issues. Red Top is less deep cycle but more amps (from memory).

I used to have a Red Top in my old car. Yellow Top fit my needs more this time around.
