Any problems with your car so far?

I really had it in mind to trade in my civic for a 2010 g37 coupe journey but all the problems are starting to make me think twice. As far as the dead battery thing goes...that's ridiculous...i'm dishing out 45 grand for a car that might break down stranding me. In this case not being able to start. The seat bubbles aren't that bad, the rattle i can deal with. It's just very uncomfortable if everytime i press the "start" button i have to worry about it not starting. What if i'm on a road trip, on a date, 5am trying to get to work and it doesn't start? if this happens to me i'd go as far as getting rid of it for something else. Not even my neighbor's 94 corolla has this problem and it's still going strong. Please tell me how long you owned your g37 and if you had any problems.

A battery issue is really going to stop your from buying a car?

Just have a spare battery in your trunk next to that spare wheel haha

NO regrets whatsoever. Bought my 08 G37S in 2/2009 and I got it for 2K below invoice to approximately 35K and at 0.9% for 72 months w/o down.

I had a squeek in the windshield but we localized the source and the dealer fixed it within 30 minutes.

Great car and no other issues!

I've had the car for over 2 years and 19000 miles now and still absolutly love it. I've had battery issues (dealer replaced for free) seat bubble (again replaced by dealer, but its comming back), and a rattling sunroof (fixed again by dealer) yet none of these have really made me regret getting the car. The amazing looks and performance do way more than make up for these minor inconveniences. If your really that worried about the battery just go to autozone and by an optima red top or something. Being the first year of a new car there will always be some problems, atleast these have just been minor issues and nothing sever like engine or drivetrain problems.

Since you're new, I suggest you browse around the different forums and read the many. Many thread about current owners' likes and dislikes. You don't really even have to search. Just pick a forum and read through tread titles to get the info you're looking for.

My problem is that I can't drive it to work daily because the parking would kill me.

2 years, 32K miles and no regrets. Don't get me wrong, there have been problems, but nothing that the local dealership didn't take care of.

-exhaust rattle - fixed via TSB
-RPM surge - fixed via TSB
-metallic ringing sound from the left side of the car, haven't taken it in yet to fix

It's called roadside assistance, and it comes free with every new Infiniti(along with a warranty).

It would not start, but luckily I was at home so I wasnt stranded anywhere. Like I said, if your that concerned about it just buy a better aftermarket battery.

Do you have a copy of the TSB for this? I think I've had this for a long time but I never thought if it being an issue. Was yours surging at low speeds and idle?

after driving the g for 2 years with 28k miles...i still have mixed feelings about the car.

had the battery problem the first week of having the car...none ever since. there are rattles and clicking which annoys me. is it just me or the speedometer area is making some noise like an old bed. when driving on the interstate, driving like 85mph then braking hard, the car would shake and it felt like the front wheels wanted to fall off. gotta go get that checked. had the exhaust problem but when i gutted the axleback, the sound when away.
