Interstate Mega-Tron Plus battery??

Needless to say, the OEM batteries are crap and the dealer won't replace it!!!

I know many people went with the Optima Red/Yellow Top batteries. Wanted to know if anyone has any experience with the Interstate Mega-Tron Plus batteries:

Automotive / Truck Batteries - Mega-Tron Plus - 85 Months - 640 CCA

Cranking Amp: 800
Cold Cranking Amp: 640

Does it worth putting this on (35% cheaper than Red top) or I shouldn't even bother and just go with the Optima Red top?

Appreciate your help guys!

first off i dunno wut's up with this site again, i've tried to post a reply about 4 times now so here's my 5th and final attempt

im sure any battery other than oem battery will be fine, in fact i've had a good experience with interstate in a previous vehicle, and they do have warranties as well. so if ur budget is tight, sure why not

that being said, i have an optima redtop for my g

Interstates are good batteries. They use them at work in all our trucks.

Thanks for your input guys!

I just replaced the battery today and so far so good! We will see how it performs in the cold winter up in Canada!

Mega-tron plus?? You should've gone with the Optimus Prime battery instead!

Yeah I think you should be good with the battery you bought. I'd save the 35%.

Consumer reports in NOV 09 just did a car battery rating report. I highly recommend looking at that article at the local public library before you buy. It mentions that all Interstate batteries do not perform the same. It is something more definitive than opinions from people who only have expertise on one or two brands.
