Car battery problems...help?!

My family has two G37 coupes (yes, we're spoiled )...I have one and my sister has one, they both happen to be at around 30k miles. In the past month, every other day or so, one of our car batteries would die...They're the '08 models.

Obviously one would think for a new battery, but, dont batteries usually last a minimum of 3-5 years? Or does it go by mileage?

What Im trying to see is... is it a coincidence that both the cars are having the same problems? or is there a problem with this line of G's with batteries? We're not leaving the lights on or anything, we leave it on auto.

For example, I was listening to music in my car after about 20 minutes of driving, the car was off and i was listening to music for 5 minutes...and the car wouldn't start.

Just wondering if I should just go ahead and get the new battery or is there another factor that should be assessed?

Thanks

My oem battery went out after 18 months. I brought it in to Autozone to buy a new one and the guy working there asked if it was a Nissan battery? I said yea sure is, he's like yea im not going to bother testing it cause its more than likely toasted.....i was like yea, its dead haha. Apparently word on the street is Nissan batteries blow

Funny how I come across this thread now.

I was about to go gym earlier but I noticed my trunk not opening with the keyfob, thought it was the keyfob battery.

I tried to start the car and all lights were dim and car wouldnt start.

Now it's dead.

car is about 16 months old/17000 miles.

Is this a known problem?, as in considered by Nissan/Infiniti?

Going to give my dealer a call and see what happens.
