Found the sensor on InfinitPartsUSA:

2011 G37 Sedan Vehicle Alarm Impact Sensor

According to them, 2011 Sedan part number is 999M2VW002-1068 (i.e., 999M2-VW002 - not 999M2VU002 some people mentioned here).

I'm going to try it - ordering now.

Got an email from them saying that the parts our out of stock, but that they'll ship it within 5 days. We'll see, I guess.

/edit Order just got canceled and refunded. "Part no longer available". Dammit.....

Does anyone know for sure if this will fit a 2008 G sedan? I would like extra security and the Viper I want is around $1000 ouch! Is the factory alarm (when triggered) the same as when you push the panic button on the remote?

might be a moot question. sourcing one of these sensors has been near impossible - believe me, i've looked. if anyone knows where one can buy one of these, please post up!

I gave the old part# to my dealer, and the parts guy told me they have to call Nissan directly to get the right part# and correct model, etc.. He did say the part# has been superceded by a different #, and that 2nd # has been changed once more by Nissan, but they didnt update the dealers with the new 3rd number. This is what he said to me not even 5 minutes ago. He took my name and # and said he will call me back with the info Im looking for. I will update once he gets back to me.

My dealer finally called back and informed me that Infiniti discontinued all impact sensors. They told him something like Infiniti was focused on keeping customers happy, so they will no longer sell the sensor??? Maybe there were too many complaints of defective units? I dont know, but it looks like unless somebody can find a source that still sells them, we have to resort to aftermarket alarm hardware.

Thanks for yet another confirmation... Sucks... Still not nearly as bad as Apple Maps.

I was just told the same thing by about 3 dealers. 'Restricted distribution' was the term.

Hey guys. Just wanted to tell y'all that I was able to grab one off of eBay for $60 shipped. It works as described but the install is a little harder than need be because of the tight work area. This should have been installed at the factory with the box in the glove box for easy adjustment. A light on the floor shining up towards the wires is a must. I have an 08 and if you just follow what Ricbel said on page 3 on how the instructions and wire colors don't match up with what's in the car you'll be fine.

Let's revive this for a second please .

I'm calling up some dealers and its discontinued .
So

999m2vw002 was replaced by 999M2 VU002 and that was replaced by 999M2-VW001

Then finally Infiniti said were not making them anymore for better customer satisfaction .

So being that my car is a 2010 g37s coupe which should I buy ?
