Not sure what all the excitement is about. It IS an option on the 2009 model as shown on the Infiniti website:
Vehicle Alarm Impact Sensor MSRP $130
· Sensors detect impact vibrations from a window breaking <o></o>
· Vibrations trigger your vehicle's factory-installed alarm system
Only shown as applicable to the X, Journey and Sport (not base). Second from the bottom of the list:

The purpose around the thread is that it was never really known where Infiniti placed the sensor so quite a few of us were wanting to know so that we could adjust the sensitivity.
Please read thread thoroughly before posting next time. K, Thx, Bai!

What excitement? What are you referring to? Thank you for restating that this is an option as it was already stated in the thread.

Thanks!
Just got my G37x this week with a shock sensor. It went off when my kid's ball rolled up against the car and virtually every time I went into a store or work. Found this thread and of course it was set at max. Turned it down to 7 and hopefully life will be better. Thanks again!

I was wondering where the sensor was located. Thanks! FYI Randy at Glendale Infiniti was fired. However the service reps are still idiots. I started taking my car to Metro Infiniti in Monrovia. I experienced too many problems at Glendale. It's a drive but worth it.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THAT !
I just installed Alaram Impact Sensor on my 2011 G coupe from the dealer and have no idea how to adjust it.
They told me I was the first 2011 that have them
I installed mine at the dealer for $250 including parts ...
