Ok. Tried to install into a 11 Sedan and got all confused with the second wire. Instructions didnt match. Tried all the latest installs guide online but still didnt match. I did find the adapter plug going down and that kinda matched but the 2 wires on the other end of the plug didnt match. Put it back together and came to search here. Seems others having the same problem. Anyway, will try again another day but will have to probe the wires. Looking at the FSM it says the following:

1. M121 - Cavity 50 - Color BG - Trunk Lid Closed - 12 Volts when closed - 0 when open
2. M119 - Cavity 11 - Color R - Battery Power Supply - 12 Volts Constant
3. M123 - Cavity 123 - Color V - Ignition Power - 12 Volts when Ignition On

So is BG - Brown?
R - Red
V - Violet

Are you sure you got the right instructions? I found the '10 instructions online and the install was perfectly fine.

So will this option finally set off the alarm if a thief punctures the door to cause the windows to roll down and thus gain entry to your vehicle? I have an 08 and have been broken into twice in this manner. Its sad because in its current state, when they do this to the car the alarm does not go off and it takes them less than 20 seconds and no one suspects that they broke into the vehicle.

so can anyone confirm if these are the correct instructions for installing the impact sensor on a 10+?
http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G37/g37_...2010/1SX14.PDF

I want to get the impact sensor and install myself, but seems like many people have been having issues with the instructions not matching up.

Other parts being my splash guards/wheel locks I ordered in the same cart.

I think that part you sent me is for the airbag sensor rather than the alarm. Makes me wonder what kind of issues Infiniti was having with the sensor, I haven't seen any threads on people complaining after quite a bit of searching.

Maybe. I just put in "impact sensor" and that's what it gave me.

Does the impact sensor alert you if it's been triggered when you unlock your car? I had an aftermarket alarm on my Integra, and it would do a different chirp pattern if the alarm had been triggered while I was away.

I park in an over crowded lot with tight spaces at work, and would like to know if something has hit my car without doing a full 360 degree inspection...

yea, tried ordering from them as well as discountinfinitiparts.com, Neither are able to get me one ordered since they're discontinued. If you find someone who has them in stock or one for sale I'd gladly buy it.

Hall Nissan of Va has 11 in stock. I just purchased one yesterday. Their phone number is 757-673-8000. Part number is 999M2 VU002. Give them a call and you might be lucky.
