I'm back.
Hey Guys,
I caved yesterday (11-07-09) and purchased an 09' G37 coupe. Not because I could not wait for the 2010, but because I low balled a dealer that surprisingly did not haggle, and he sold immediately, so the deal went through.
Here's the car:
2009 G37 Journey, Automatic, Premium, Navigation, White on Wheat. Had 2 miles on it and was still in the plastic. Price: $43,400. But only paid: $37,400.
As a guy who owned a 2005 G35 coupe, I have to say: This car is incredible. It rides and feels better. It seems like it has 50% more technology than my 2005 did. Just so much nicer. I'm VERY VERY happy, and look forward to enjoying it until sometime in early 2013 (when I plan to buy into the 'refresh').
I'm not sure I understand why it did not come with splash guards, but ordered those already and plan on getting a 'legal' window tint.
Man, it's nice to be back!

I'm seriously shopping for a jaw dropping deal as well- found 09 coupe-sport-premium-auto-splash guards-trunk net and mat- msrp $43430-dealer priced $37853. Is there any negotiation room left?? BTW dealer has several 09's on the lot and in fact has two identical of the one I am interested in.

I'm in NC.
Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In North Carolina, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.
Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Similar to sunglass lenses, some tinting film contain metallic elements that help in reflecting incoming light and reducing the glare and heat generated by visible light.
Front Side Windows Must not be more than 20% reflective.
Back Side Windows Must not be more than 20% reflective.
So yea, the tint is not 'REALLY DARK', but it still looks good imo.
