Just got the G37S and have a few question

Hi, new here. I traded in my beloved G35 coupe 6mt for an 09 G37 6mt yesterday. Didn't like it at first, but it's starting to grow on me. So here are my questions.

1. What is the deepest and the throatiest exhaust I can get? I was thinking of either MXP or Invidia with High Flow Cats. I am looking for it to be very deep and throaty.

2. Anyone have a picture of the giala grille on the car that is paint matched to the car?

3. Did anyone do anything to their small chrome spoiler in the back. I was thinking of painting it car color, but don't know how it will look like.

4. Also, I heard that the paint on the new infinities is self healing. Is it true that clearcoat will heal itself from swirl marks with in a few hours on a warm day?

5. The last question is about the zylon protection package. Did anyone get it? Is it worth it? Did you notice a difference. I got a black/black car.

Thanks.

1. Out of those 2, I would go with the MXP, some here usually pick the Invidia because it is not too loud.

2. There is a similar looking grill made by a vendor here. Contact Autokits-X.

3. Some have overlayed it. Contact Bat, he has overlays made for the chrome piece. Painting looks better imo.

4. That's what they (Infiniti) say. Prob only works on really light swirls or scratches.

5. If you got it then LOL, it's a ripoff. Just get a clear bra for the front and maintain the rest of the car with quality products. Use sealant and wash with a 2 bucket system. Detailed Image can point you in the right direction.

I can only answer a few:

3. I think there are a couple people who have painted the rear chrome piece and have pics up here. Saw them awhile ago though. I tried getting my chrome piece painted but body shops refused to do it. Said it would probably start to chip off. Oh well, time to get a spoiler i guess.

4. Self healing is more or less a gimick. Dont think your car will stay prestine for the mere fact of self healing paint

5. Not sure what that is but sounds like a dealer offered package. Only package worth buying is the wheel and tire protection plan, assuming you have the 19's

I'm with Sam on the FI exhaust. It's very deep and doesn't drone while cruising on the Hwy.

Another vote for Fast Intentions....from the videos I've seen, it is MUCH deeper and throatier than the Invidia. MXP is deep, but has a lot of rasp (in my opinion). If you want a deep, throaty growl, go for Fast Intentions.

1. I love my MXP!!! I had Tanabe before which was cool but if you want throatier and mean sounding go for MXP, also MXP doesn't drone on the HWY, so the beast noise stays outside and doesn't interrupt you in cabin too much when the windows are up. That's mean & classy IMO.

3. Paint your chrome lip if you want. But in my opinion, nothing completes the silhoutte of the G37 coupe like the OEM or at least Grubbs spoilers.

4. Self healing paint is just a little bit of resin in the clear coat of the car. I hear it's only guaranteed to even work for about 2-3 years. It may heal some light swirls and friction scuffs, which is nice. But I would still be as defensive a parker/driver/detailer as you would be if you didn't have this feature. Mine is an 08, so no SELF HEALING :-(
