ummm....I see an "exotic" at least once a day since I work in downtown Dallas and live in Plano.

Yes, I do think I have "arrived" because I own a G37, not bc I own an Infiniti. Of course, I was only 22 when I got my G and it took me a lot to save up for it. So yes, I am a proud b!tch when I get in the driver's seat.

it's cool you own a g and you're 22. you should be proud to own a nice car (more expensive than a lot of other cars on the road). but believe me, you definitely have not "arrived". unless you can go do whatever you want at any time you want, and not worry about the money or work, you have not "arrived".

also, dallas is a large metropolitan city that is filled with a lot of people with a lot of money. of course you will see lots of exotics. that's because you don't live in council bluffs and think american car enthusiasts are posers.

I agree that the Europeans generally expect morerefinement out of their cars. The American market always gets slighted, when it comes to refinement and amenities, compared to other markets.

As far as the "posers" comment- I think that is over the top.

Speedracer g37 is totally correct. I live in M.D. about 10 miles away from D.C. I'm not exaggerating when I say that where I go to school, students drive fully loaded CLS550's and PORSHEEEE!!!! And the other day someone came to school with a brand new QX56 and drove it like he was going to hell! It's so stupid.

Something I've noticed, if 5 yrs ago I told my friends I owned an Infiniti, most of them wouldn't even know what it was. Today, most of my friends do think of Infiniti as a premium brand, the brand awareness has definitely grown, obviously not to the level of say Mercedes-Benz in North America, but still, a lot of progress
