Freaking haters! I was driving yesterday with my fiance in the side streets approximately 30 mph. I was not reving my engine or stuff like that ,just driving normally. Suddenly a red truck revEd and blew pass me and went to my lane. So i didnt pay attention to that. Then as we came along the stoplight(the truck still in front of me) He decided to show off and reved his engine (pretty embarassing actually if I was him because all that came out from his exhaust was black smoke). My fiance and I started laughing. Then the light came green, He launched in front of me, spinning his big *** wheels , and went straight ahead. I had to make a right at this point because I entered the freeway. All i can say is "What a childish act." Young as Iam( yup i believe 25 is still young hehe) , i won't even think of doing such act even if I'll drive a ferrari in the future( just dreaming). For me, its just plain immaturity.

 

just a sign of insecurity, he believes his bigger engine > sports car

i live in a redneck hick town, i get this near daily, some podunk hick wants to race me at every stop light, i've just gotten use to it

 

I don't think it's hating as much as others wanting to just mess around with you, happens all the time

 

It was a diesel, most likely chipped (hence the black smoke) They can make a lot of power, someone I know has turbo back 5" exhaust, intake, trans kit, and a good tune. The truck can take our cars in the quarter mile (he runs low 13's) It is pretty funny when people try messing with him at lights, he spools the turbo to about 20 pounds and launches in 4wd, should see the look on peoples faces when they get destroyed by a pickup truck...

He was probably just hoping you tried running him off the light

I get this all the time but mostly from mustangs and cars like dodge neons

 

All kinds of ricers have done this to me in the past... occasionally some d!ck looking azzholes with their f@g looking shades in their big-attitude 'Stangs and Cameros.

Still, mostly them 4 bangers. What's up with them with revving? I just ignore them tho'.

 

Trucks and SUV's seem to want to race me the most

 

Who cares, it's still a truck.

 

It's always trucks doing this. Not sure what's up with that....
