Daily Driver or Toy?

Just curious how many of you drive the G daily or if you have a second car to abuse and take anywhere without having to worry about it in a parking lot....

I think tha tmost use it as a daily driver. Its a nice car but not so nice that many prefer to make it just a weekend cruiser.

I bought mine as my daily driver March 2008. My sister then leased a brand new loaded VW Passatt and she moved away to NY in July and was stock with lease, and continues to pay it and keep it at my place so she has a car to drive when she comes home to visit. So I drive that when I go long distances, like out of town or lots of driving or parking in a place I wouldnt park the G. Its kind of nice, so I have that to take advantage of for another 20 months. Only put about 10k miles a year on my car thanks to it.

Sounds just like me speedracer! Had mine for a little over a yr and a half and just hit 5500 miles. I don't mind though because I have an hour commute to work and there's been plenty of times that I've had truck blowouts next to me and large stones hitting my daily driver. If that were the G I'd be furious!

I agree it's a daily toy. I live in Michigan so as long as there's no snow (April-November) I use it daily. Stays garaged most of winter so no salt gets to it. Handles like crap in the winter anyway. I would say, however, that even in the months I use it daily - I use it with discretion. I don't take it to crowded downtown parking - or the bar scene in general. I drive it only to places where I know I can find comfortable/safe parking. So even though I classify it daily driver - I would still say that it will only see like 7-9k miles/year.
