Am I the only one who thinks the g37 is not really a weekend car? I mean it's only an Infiniti, nothing really special about our car for me to justify only driving weekends. I see people driving bently's and 60k+ cars in thunderstorms around here. I think a car should only be a weekend car for the following:

1. lease, cause of mileage
2. exotic
3. pure track car

we all work hard to make the payments so why not drive it. depreciating asset anyway, just my opinion

Since I take mass transit to work everyday, I guess more of a weekend toy. I drive it a few times if I can during the week. after little over a year I only have about 8000 miles on it... and look forward to driving it everytime!!!!

Got it in Nov '07 - 9300 miles (was on disability for a year, and work commute is 25M round trip) it's my only car. I can't see driving a lesser car and leaving my G in the garage. Life is short - enjoy it!
Plus, the Injens add a ton of fun to my commute - suburban roads, (mostly) lenient cops...

Well that didn't last long. Going to pick up a 2005 civic coupe (value package, totally ghetto, manual windows and everything) with 29k miles for $8k. I'm not gonna have the G sit in the garage 24/7, but im not gonna park it at wal mart, sporting events, and drive in the actual ice and snow. heck, its gonna cost me $2k or more to get a second set of wheels and winter tires. Nice to have a good gas mileage car for when im not really in the mood for "DRIVING" but just getting somewhere as well.

I dunno, I get really attached to cars and want to keep them in perfect condition and for a very long time. I don't really think there's anything fun about driving the G in a hailstorm, or in the snow, or on a 3 mile trip in **** traffic to go get groceries and such. I plan on buying a beater so I can drive my G when I *want* to drive, and take a beater I don't give a **** about the rest of the time. Not necessarily a weekend driver, but I want to hang onto this thing for a very long time and putting miles on it when im not enjoying them doesn't really fit with that motivation!

Daily driven and TOY.
08 bought in 3rd week of last year August 13,700 miles.

My job is a stones throw away - I go to work, go home for lunch, go back to work and then go home = 1.5 miles a day = 7.5 miles a week. Go figure the rest of the miles is driven on the weekend enjoying the car.

Well taken care of - example tops always waxed once a month. Oil change every 2,500 miles. Money in savings account to bail me out of jail when someone hits my car.
