Car is sluggish when I have the AC on

Hey guys,

This has been happening a few weeks ago but when I have my AC on and I accelerate, the shift from 1st to 2nd (5AT) is really sluggish, feels like my car is getting pulled back right before it switches gears. Also, my RPM at idle with the AC on is higher than usual. Has anyone experience this before?

Normal. AC takes a bit of engine power to run and the ECU raises the idle speed when it's on to compensate.

Yep, it's normal... it happens on all cars when you have the AC running. Your idle with AC on will be like 680 - 700rpms where it would be 650 with it off, don't worry.

Usually when i'm in the streets I just open my window lol.. unless it's too hot out there. But in the fwy going 60+ then i let the AC runs. But yeah the engine works more since it's turning the AC and such making the car feels sluggish. Also another reason why you waste more gas =]
