Windshield is cracked and growing. HELP
In So Cal .... he's gonna pay outta pocket which is normally cheaper than going through insurance out here. However, if his deductable is less than the cost of the glass, he is probably paying too much for insurance.
So this thread reminded me I had a chip in my Pathfinder. Called State Farm. They use to repair chips at no cost. Now it is part of the comprehensive deductible. If you pay to have a chip fixed (they estimated under $100) and ultimately have to pay to have the glass replaced (they estimated under $500 for the Pathfinder), then whatever you pay for the repair is subtracted from the cost of the replacement. Since my comp deductible is $500, I opted to live with the chip since it is so small and not in the line of sight.
