My 1st check engine light YAY
Duh, I'm an idiot. I forgot to post the link to resetting the ECU. Follow this procedure:

At step 4, after the check engine has started blinking, release the gas pedal completely and don't follow where it tells you put put it back down for 10 seconds. Just release it and count blinks

Check the code. Follow this procedure but, when the light starts blinking, instead of releasing the gas pedal and putting it back down, JUST release it. Count the blinks. Should be in series of fours so (for a 2481 for example) you'll have for example 2 blinks, pause, 4 blinks, pause, 8 blinks, pause, 1 blink, and then it'll give you another code or repeat. Do that (and it really is about timing to get it properly) and report back what codes you pull and someone can look it up in the FSM
10 long blinks, pause
4 short blinks, pause
5 short blinks, pause
6 short blinks, pause
Then it repeats again. So how do I find out what that means?
Well, one way to find out is google. I googled "Infiniti 0456" and it came back with some stuff.
The more accurate way is to have an FSM. I looked it up and it is "EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM" The first thing I'd check is the filler cap. You said you're at 1/4 tank? Usually the check engine comes on within 50 miles or so of fillup if the cap was put on improperly. I guess it could wait till later though depending on heat and pressures and such. So what I'd do first is to take the gas cap off and put it back on making sure you have it on properly and tightened. Then I'd reset your ECU based on the full procedure at the link I gave you.
If that doesn't work, here's a copy of the full trouble diagnosis for that code. If you can't follow through the diagnosis, just bring it in to the dealer - it's still under warranty! But the point is that it's not something major that should prevent you for enjoying your car

And click download document for a scan of the parts of the FSM pertinent to 0456
