Looking for a replacement part for a minor update

I have a Athens Blue G37S. It looks great but wanted to add a few minor things.

I already added molded speakers and an amp for the sound system.

However I wanted to make a minor change to the front. You see the front grill is chrome and the bottom part where the black net looking grills are plastic black.

I think I need more of a lip on it to make it look right and the bottom plastic pieces need to be chrome.

The overall design is real nice it is just missing some finishing touches to make spot on. The stock g37S just does not look right. Looks like a "big nose: part on a sadan instead of a sports car. I like it to look like a modern sports car in the front.

By shifting the bottom part of the bumber out and makeing the back plastic bottom grill pieces chrome it should look more like what i am invisoning.

1. Could add some sort of lip extension or wind spliter ?
I have the S type so what is the best one in looks. I have seen an actual lip that is connected with two metal bars and also just replacement bumbers.

This bumber looks OK: http://www.impul.co.jp//products/mod...NE_536CS_E.htm

This looks nice: http://www.hopupracing.com/jpviing37co0.html or you can also get it here: http://www.bodykits.net/body-kits/infiniti/g37/137851/

This is a wind splitter with stainless steel supports (I like this idea but t he spoorts look a little long or big): http://www.101modifiedcars.com/2008/...iti-g37-coupe/

and http://www.outperformanceshop.com/Pr...-FrontSplitter

2. And get a chrome bottom grill pieces (stock design, chrome instead of black)?

You'd probably have to paint them chrome (not sure if that plastic could be plated as I think it has a texture). I'm not too sure if it would look good. The 2 side meshes really aren't meshes but are solid pieces so you'd have to just paint the raised mesh on the solid piece.

There is also the stillen front splitter that you don't have to used the metal arms for also available. Do a search for pics posted by AndrewDDS to see it.

Rather than painting the lower grilles chrome an being a Bling King, did you consider painting the grille body color or black? It looks very clan IMO, but I'm biased.

As far as body kits go, I think we'll have other tasteful options pretty soon. I was able to pick up one of a very few Top Secret body kits that were made available for the G37 Coupe, but now I'm having serious second thoughts about putting it on because I'm lowered and don't want to scrape.

Question: Do you have the premium package? I have the Bose system which is included with said package and cant for the life of me see a need to add anything to it, least of all an aftermarket amp and/or sub (unless competing in shows or the like). As someone who is a self proclaimed audiophile and as someone who has always modified the stock stereo in his previous cars, I can honestly say the factory installed Bose system is lacking in nothing, including nut-vibrating bass and ear bleed loudness.

I am just wondering what you feel needs "fixing".

Hi NACZ3

The Stillen Front Splitter looks much better! I like! The metal supports are shorter and just look more mature. Found them at: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...T01&c=EX&m=all

Now the only change I would do for the splitter is make it the Athens Blue color.

Black Betty - with the Athens Blue the main grill as is "chrome" looks really nice. Good contrast and not ghetto. But I see your general idea that the bottom pieces may look a little too much as chrome and if painted chrome they may scratch with normal wear and tear making it really look bad. So good advice on that.

The kit you shown does look good but the splitter looks a little better and may be more affordable. I guess i have to do one or the other.

Boostard - Yes I do have the premium package. I think it is OK. I already made my alterations. Basically I had two 8" subs in molded speaker boxes and put the new amp on the right side near the spare tire so it still looks factory and has more bump.

Oh, and I added a **** to control the power and added the correct wiring.
So this is another post that shows a picture of it. : https://www.myg37.com/forums/audio-v...r-my-g37s.html

Thanks guys!
